Birch Trees

This painting was my first Art Café subject with my neighbours. They agreed to come over with their husbands for a nice paint evening and BBQ. Husbands drank and ate…we painted and laughed…then we ate!

The subject was pretty easy and could be interpreted several ways using any colour palette.

My friends stuck to it and followed my lead as I took them through the layers of trees and leaves.

We had a lot of fun and even the nay sayers were happy to follow along dappling paint colours all over the canvas.

Later, it was nice to see they had hung the paintings in their houses.
